This Privacy Policy explains how Unchurnify (“Unchurnify”, “we”, “us”), operated by NT Digital, collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website and the Unchurnify cancellation-flow and churn-deflection service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
Unchurnify is a software service that lets subscription businesses (“Customers” or “Managers”) add a branded cancellation flow in front of their cancel button. We are based in New Zealand. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@unchurnify.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, business/company name, email address, and login credentials when you register.
- Billing information — payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain limited details such as the card brand, last four digits, billing status, and subscription records.
- Usage data — how you interact with the Service, including flows created, credits used, pages viewed, and feature activity.
- Device and location data — IP address, browser type, and an approximate country derived from your IP (used to display the right currency and for security).
- Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences (such as display currency), and measure site performance (see section 7).
- Communications — messages you send us for support or enquiries.
3. Information processed on behalf of our Customers
When a Customer runs a cancellation flow, end-subscribers may submit information such as a cancellation reason or a reference identifier. Unchurnify processes this information on behalf of the Customer who operates that flow. For this data, the Customer is the data controller and Unchurnify acts as a processor, handling the data only to provide the Service. If you are an end-subscriber and have questions about your data, please contact the business whose cancellation flow you used.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
- To process payments, subscriptions, credits, and top-ups.
- To send service, billing, and security notifications.
- To display localised pricing estimates based on your country.
- To improve the Service, troubleshoot, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal information on the bases of: performance of a contract (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the Service); your consent (for example, certain cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers (sub-processors) who help us operate the Service, including our payment processor (Stripe), website hosting, email delivery, and analytics providers. These providers may process data outside your country.
- Advertising and analytics partners (for example, Google) where you visit our marketing site, subject to your cookie choices.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the Service (such as keeping you logged in and remembering your display currency) and may use analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the Service works.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and storing payment details with our PCI-compliant payment provider rather than on our own systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete personal information and to opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@unchurnify.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
12. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be notified by email or in-app.
